These are a few pictures from a few weekends ago when Aunt Cam Cam, Neely, Julz and Pops were here for Joni's baby shower.
I know it has been forever since I have posted, but things have been a little stressed around the Abercrombie house. First of all, Raylin had the stomach virus and I had a sinus infection. That same week, I found out that Pfizer is buying Wyeth so I am really stressed about losing my part time job that I love! Then I got the stomach virus. During all this we had Raylin's follow up neurology appointment and did not get the best news. So it has been a lot to handle to say the least!
I haven't posted a lot about Raylin and her doctor appointments on the blog, but I am going to share a little bit now because I want everybody to please pray for our baby girl. A little background info: Raylin is developmentally delayed. She was a late crawler and late walker and still is not talking. We are seeing a developmental pediatrician and a pediatric neurologist. She has had a MRI and the results were normal - PRAISE!!! She has also had elevated CK levels in the past, but not too elevated that the neurologist was concerned. She just said we would check them again. Well last Wednesday when we went to her follow up visit with the neuro, she was concerned about Raylin's head size and it had hardly grown during the past six months. She was also concerned that she had not made improvements in her expressive language. Although, Raylin has extremely improved in her receptive language. She is understanding so much and following directions so well - at least when she wants to! The neurologist referred us to another pediatric neurologist for a second opinion and a geneticist. Raylin has to have a EMG and a nerve conductor test in the next few weeks so please pray for her. I am so worried about the nerve conduction test because it is going to be painful for her and they cannot sedate her. The test is February 26th so please pray that Raylin will make it through okay and that I will be strong for her. Her geneticist appt is February 25th. I don't know why I decided today to post all this, other than I just want everybody that reads our blog to please PRAY! I know that she is in GOD's hands and He is in control and He answers prayers! Thank you to my family and friends that have been there for me this last week. It has really been tough and I have really appreciated all the support and encouragement.

On a lighter note, I have to tell a story about my fashion queen and this cute snowman dress that Gran made for her. Last week, Gran, Raylin and I went to Quilt Arts to look at fabric and Raylin had this dress on. The ladies in the store had a fit over it. They had to take her to the back and show everybody. Raylin was loving all the attention. Later that afternoon, we went to UMC for Raylin's therapy and the girls up front were telling her how cute her hair was (I had it in pigtails with curly bows). She started pulling down on her dress and pulling it out wanting them to comment on her dress. It was hilarious. Gran said, she is thinking, I know my hair is cute, but just look at my dress - it's cute too! I think we may have to quit telling her how pretty she is because it may be going to her head just a little bit!
