Early Birthday Present from Gran and Gramp

Gran let Raylin have her birthday present a little early. She wanted her to have it while she was at the river. Raylin was so excited. She did not stop riding this turtle the entire time we were there. She even wanted to hold it while she sat in the chair and ate. She wanted to take it to bed with her too. She had a great time riding it all weekend and I know she is going to enjoy it all the time here. Thanks Gran and Gramp!!!

Visiting Mom

Saturday on the way to the River we stopped by to see Mom. We took her lunch and watched a little of the Egg bowl before we headed to Gran and Gramp's!

Now it's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas...

Friday afternoon, we decorated for Christmas. Brigg put up the tree while Raylin was taking a nap and this was her face when she walked in the den and saw the Christmas tree all lit up. She was so excited. We didn't decorate anything until she got up from her nap so she was very involved. Every ornament we put on the tree, she would take off and hand to us. She tried to put Minnie Mouse in the tree several times.

She was so excited when she opened this box with all of her Christmas books and Christmas toys. She even found a Barney Santa and squealed with delight. As most of you know, Barney is her hero these days. We watch Barney all day long!

So happy with her singing penguin... Brigg was not too happy that we got all these singing toys out.

Zoo Day with Caroline

Sunday, Amy and I took Raylin and Caroline to the zoo. We had the whole zoo to ourselves. We saw one family when we were leaving. It was so much fun. The girls could just run and explore and they had a blast!

Riding the Carousel!!!

After we got off the carousel, one of the workers at the zoo gave Raylin and Caroline a sticker. I gave Raylin hers and this is where she put it. One day I will probably want a sticker over her mouth, but not yet! I'm still waiting on some blabbing from her and I'm not sure I will ever want her to hush when she finally decides to talk!!!

Caroline and Raylin loved the slide that was at the zoo. I don't think it was supposed to be open because the stairs to get up to the top of the slide were completely dark. But the girls didn't mind. They slid MANY times in the dark!

They loved the peacocks. Caroline was so funny. She would tell Raylin exactly what to do, like go catch that peacock, Raylin. This is probably a little telling of their future playdates. I have a feeling Raylin who has no fear will be doing any thing Caroline asks!

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas...

In Raylin's Playroom!!!

Today we got a pink tree for Raylin's playroom and so tonight we decided to go ahead and put it up because we knew she would be so excited. She loved it when Brigg plugged it in. She clapped and squealed. She didn't want to leave the decorations on the tree so I know over the next few weeks I will be picking ornaments up all over the house, but at least they are plastic and hopefully will not break!

She was not too sure about me putting her monkey on top of the tree!

Giving Daddy a kiss for putting up her tree!

Standing up in her chair trying to put more ornaments on the tree... I'm sure this is an accident waiting to happen!

What 2 days at home leads to...

Friday and Saturday, Raylin and I stayed at home most of the day which is very rare. As you can see though, she played hard at home. Her playroom was such a disaster that I had to take a picture so that one day she can see what a mess she makes. We have started working with her to only have one toy out at a time, but I haven't enforced this rule in her playroom. She is doing really well with it in her room or in the living room, but the playroom not so much!!! So tonight she and I had major clean up time!

First Trip to the Dentist

Wednesday, Raylin had her first dentist appointment with Dr. Tiffany Green. I think she handled it pretty well considering what a busy day we had. She had speech therapy that morning at 9:30 and then came home for a quick nap. Then we went to eat lunch with Ea and Hank. She had occupational therapy at 1:30 and then the dentist appointment at 3:00. So as you can see, she had a full day. She loved the office. There was a big bucket of toys and a tv with Dora playing. In this first picture, you can see she is seriously watching Dora and Boots! She was scared of laying down on the chair when we got to the back so I had to hold her. She definitely did not like Ms. Michelle cleaning her teeth, but they said her apprehension was normal for that age! Michelle and Dr. Tiffany were so sweet to her and let her pick out a Dora sticker, Disney princess floss, and a Tigger toothbrush. Then Ms. Natalie from the front brought her a pink balloon. Needless to say by the time we left, she was one happy girl!!!

So proud of my big girl! Love you sweet angel!!!

Happy Birthday Taylor!!!

Sunday afternoon, Raylin and I went to Philly to celebrate Taylor's first birthday! Janet had everything decorated so cute and of course Taylor looked like a doll!

Raylin wanted every present that Janet opened for Taylor. She especially liked Taylor's pink car. We may have to see if Santa can find one of those for her for Christmas. Notice in the middle right picture of the collage, Raylin is running from me with one of Taylor's gifts.
