Playing with friends from Meridian

A couple of Saturday's ago, we went to a fishing tournament weigh in to see some of our friends from Meridian. Heath Gilmore fished in the tournament and placed. Brigg actually did not fish in this tournament so we went to Tommy's for the weigh in. It was so great to see the Belk's and the Gilmore's. We miss ya'll so much!

Easter Bunny Pictures by Lisa Patti

We went Tuesday for Raylin's Easter pictures. Lisa Patti took them and I am so pleased with all of them. They are hilarious! She only smiled in a few, but I love the action shots of her loving (squeezing) the duck. There are lots more pictures like one where she is holding the duck upside down by his feet, but I got tired of scanning them. There is also one where she looks like she is about to throw the poor duckling. Maybe I will scan those later.
We also went that afternoon for Raylin's 15 month checkup. She is now 21 pounds 6 ounces and in the 25th percentile. She is 31 inches long and in the 75th percentile. And her head is still just in the 10th percentile. Our tall and skinny angel with a little bitty head. I've heard the smaller the brain, the smarter the kid. So since Raylin's head is small, I'm guessing she is really smart :)!!! She is still only saying Mama so we discussed that with Dr. Joe. He said she will talk when she gets ready. And my friend Joni called the other day and I was discussing Raylin's speech with her and she said she heard not talking early is a sign of brilliance. She said Mozart or Einstein didn't talk until they were older. So we may be raising a baby Einstein!!! :) Thanks Joni for telling me that!!! Raylin will soon be walking I think. She will take two or three steps every once in a while, but she is still afraid when she realizes she doesn't have my hand. She is eating anything we give her. She is such a good eater. Her favorite thing of course is sweets, but she also loves peas and green beans.

This was my favorite pic taken. I love the way her hair is curling out in the back.

This was before she tried to kill the sweet little duckling!!!

Look at that sweet grin. She was trying to show off all those toothies!

Here she is trying to squeeze the little duckling to death, but doesn't she look like an angel.

More Easter Bunny Pics....

I think she might have been hungry during the pictures because she kept trying to eat the rabbit food, even that nasty purple lettuce. I'm pretty sure she swallowed several pieces of it.

That beautiful grin again!!!

Raylin's Mother's Morning Out Easter Party

Raylin had her Easter party at Mother's Morning Out Wednesday. She loved the cupcakes and the cookies. She didn't participate too much in the egg hunt. She would pick up an egg and put it in her mouth so I would take it from her and put it in her basket. Then she would pick up another and I would put it in the basket. This went on until we had about six or seven eggs. So I think she did pretty good for her first egg hunt. The eggs weren't really hidden that well. They were pretty much out in the open room so the babies didn't have a real difficult time finding them, but they had a fun time picking them up. Thanks to Raylin's teachers, Ms. Terri and Ms. Sue, for having a fun Easter party for the kids and for everything you do for them. I know Raylin loves her teachers. She can't wait to get down as soon as we get there. And those of you who know her well know that there is not much she will leave her Mommy for :)

Raylin picking up an egg!!! She was not in a great mood so we had to keep the paci in her mouth. She doesn't nap well at MMO so usually when Kelly or I pick her up, she is tired and ready for a nap.
