Cheering for the Bulldogs!!!

Raylin watched the last half of the State Ole Miss game with me. So I decided while we were watching it that she needed to be dressed to cheer for the dogs. And actually as soon as I changed her into her bulldog attire, they started playing great! She would get so excited when I would yell. She loves to watch football. She would sit on the couch with her daddy and watch it every night if I would let her.

A little bit of holiday humor!!!

My friend, Keri, in Birmingham sent this to me tonight. I have been hysterically laughing for 15 minutes. Thanks Keri for the wonderful laugh! By the way, you have way too much time on your hands. Just had to share with everyone. Click on the link below to see some great elf dancing by the Abercrombie Fam!

Bless Her Heart!

Raylin has been sick with a cold for about a month and it has now developed into bronchitis. I took her to the doctor Monday morning and he put her on another antibiotic, breathing treatments and more cough syrup. She is starting to feel better and is definitely not coughing as much. She has not been eating well since she's been sick so she had lost 4 ounces. She now only weighs 18 pounds. I really wanted to get her a big girl car seat and turn it forward when she turned one, but it looks like I may have to wait a little while for that whole 20 pounds AND one year old. We'll see! I've got about three weeks to fatten her up :-)!!!

Getting closer to the BIG ONE!!!

Raylin is 11 months old today. I cannot believe in one more month we will be celebrating her first birthday. Time has flown by! She is getting so tall and doing new things everyday. Just in the past few weeks, she is pulling up on things, eating table food, and trying to crawl. These were a few pictures I took tonight at Chad and Andrea's.

Bubble Bath Fun!!!

Raylin took a bath tonight in our big tub and we turned the jets on. She loved it. She was grinning from ear to ear as you can see in the pictures. I think we may have a hard time bathing without bubbles and jets from now on. She wasn't even interested in her toys. She only wanted to play in the bubbles. Such fun! By the way, if you look real close in the first picture you can see her first and only tooth (bottom right).

Trick or Treat

We went to trick or treat at the Seago's with our small group. We had lots of fun. Raylin borrowed Mary Grace's pink car to ride in and she loved it. Thanks MG! Halloween is Renee's birthday so we celebrated Monday night at PF Chang's with a girl's night out (forgot my camera). Happy Birthday Nea Nea!

I love this sweet girl!

I decided to post these pictures that I have taken over the last couple of weeks. Raylin has been sick for two weeks so we haven't been anywhere and I haven't taken too many pictures. She got her first ear infection and it was in both ears so she has been on an antibiotic, cough syrup and ear drops. No fun for this sweet girl. She is feeling better, but is still very clingy and whiny and still has an awful cough. Brigg has been out of town for three nights so she has slept with me. It should be interesting tonight to see how she does in her bed. Well I'm sure I will have some pictures next week of Raylin all dressed up in her costume.

Hot at the Fair!!!

We went to the fair Saturday night with the Edward's and the Segrest's. We had lots of fun, but it was so stinking hot. We didn't get to see the Edward's too much while at the fair. They stayed busy on the rides with Hank and his cousins. Raylin had several "first's" while at the fair. She ate a funnel cake and loved it! She kept reaching for more. She also had cotton candy for the first time. What kid doesn't love cotton candy? We still have some left over so Brigg has been giving her bites of it all the time. No wonder she won't eat any of her baby food these days. I think the highlight of Camp and Raylin's night was petting a cow named Princess. They loved all of the animals. Chad, Camp, Raylin Brigg and I rode the ferris wheel, but that was the only ride Raylin rode. She was happy just taking it all in and letting us save money, other than the cotton candy, corn dog, and funnel cake :)! When we got home that night, Raylin was not tired at all. Could it have been all the cotton candy her daddy fed her??? She stayed up until 10:00 laughing and playing.

Loving the petting zoo!!!

Camp and Raylin

The other night the Segrest's came over so I took a few pictures of Camp and Raylin together. These pictures are the progression of Raylin and Camp's first kiss. I just had to post these pictures to let Mary Grace know she might have a little competition from a younger chick :)!

Mary Katherine is telling Camp to give Raylin a kiss. Raylin is looking up at her like "What??? My mommy is the only person that can give me kisses!"

Going in for the kiss!

And it's over! I missed it :(! My camera didn't take the pictures fast enough. I think Raylin is in a little bit of a daze after the big kiss.

Rock-A-Doodle Ranch Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with the Edward's and Andrea's mom and nieces. It was lots of fun, but it was out in the middle of nowhere. It was somewhere in Madison County past Canton. It definitely did not feel like October weather. I couldn't even dress Raylin in a cute fall outfit because it was 90 degrees outside and she would have burned up. There was a petting farm, but we didn't get to pet any animals. We did see rabbits, pigs, goats, chickens, hens, etc. There was also a hayride to the pumpkin patch. I was not too impressed with the pumpkin patch. As you can see in the last picture, the pumpkins were quite small. Raylin could pick them up. There was also a cow train (third pic). This was fun and really bumpy. I think Raylin and Hank enjoyed it. Hank was saying "Whee" the whole time. I think Raylin was probably thinking "Mama, can we please go back to Disney World? I've had enough of these redneck rides!" There was a corn maze. Andrea's mom and nieces did that, but we decided to let Raylin and Hank swing while they were finding their way through the maze. Raylin was so tired that she was sound asleep before we even got back to the truck. We stopped at Trace Grill and had lunch on the way home. Such a fun day with family and friends!!!

Look at the drool all over her dress. Could she be teething finally????

Ten Months Old Today!!!

Raylin is ten months old today. I can't believe in only two months she will be one year old. Wow, time flies when you're having fun! I "redneck" weighed her today and she weighs 19 pounds and she is 29" long according to my measurement. She is getting so big and stays busy everyday. She is now eating better. She wants everything that we are eating and drinking. She loves sweet tea! Don't worry, she only gets a little bit through the tip of the straw when we are drinking it. I think her favorite baby foods are carrots, sweet potatoes and applesauce, but she also loves french fries or any type of potato. She is not crawling yet, but will get up on all fours and rock back and forth so I am sure she will be on the move soon. She has pulled up in her bed and sat up from laying on her stomach. Not saying any words yet that we can understand, but she chats away about something all the time. She is having a tough time at Mother's Morning Out and the church nursery. She cries when I drop her off and she is usually crying when I pick her up. She is definitely taking this separation anxiety to the extreme. I can't leave her anywhere. She has turned into a mommy's girl. It breaks my heart when I leave her at the nursery or MMO and she cries. I hope this phase passes soon. She is such a blessing and I thank God everyday for her. Being a mother is absolutely wonderful. There is nothing like the feeling I get when she wraps her arms so tight around my neck (of course I know she is just trying to reach my hair, but it is still wonderful)! I love it in the morning when she wakes up and I go to get her and she just smiles so big and reaches for me. I also love to go in and check on her when she is supposed to be napping and she is laying there playing instead. When she sees me, she will smile and giggle like "you caught me mama!" I love to snuggle with her. She is the most snuggly baby which most of you know. She will just pat my arm and back. It is too sweet! This has been the most awesome last ten months. I love this sweet girl so much! These are just a few pics I took of her today. We go this afternoon to have fall pictures taken so I will post those when I get them.

Thanks Aunt Cambre, Uncle David and Gabe!!!

Raylin's Aunt Cambre and Uncle David brought her this cute doggy from FAO Schwartz in New York. She loves it. She is constantly wanting to bite her nose and the little red bows. Thanks Aunt Cambre and Uncle David! As you can see by the pictures, she is really enjoying her doggy!
