Christmas with Friends

Raylin celebrated Christmas with two of her best friends. Caroline came over and they opened presents. Thank you to Caroline for Raylin's new push duck. She loves it! We went to Hank's last Saturday night and celebrated Christmas. I did not get a picture of Hank because he will not be still long enough for me to get a good one. But I did get a picture of Raylin playing with her new princess horse and carriage with blocks that Hank gave her. She plays with it all the time. Thank you Hank!

Mother's Morning Out Christmas Party

This is the first of many posts. I know I am so behind posting as my sweet friend Keri keeps reminding me so here goes. These are pictures from Raylin's Christmas party at Mother's Morning Out. Kelly (Raylin's babysitter) and I went to celebrate with them. That was so sweet of Kelly to come to her party. Thank you Kelly! The first picture is of a few of the kids in her class. I'm not even going to begin to try to name them because I know I will not remember all of their names. Notice Raylin is the only girl there that day. There is one other little girl in her class though. But I have heard from her teacher's that Raylin can definitely hold her own with these boys. The second picture is of Raylin and one of her teachers, Mrs. Terri. I did not get a picture of Raylin with Mrs. Sue. Mrs. Terri and Mrs. Sue are so wonderful and sweet to these kids. Thank you to both of you for everything you do for Raylin.

Christmas Card Photo Session!!!

I had such a difficult time getting a Christmas card picture this year. I think we had four different photo sessions with Raylin. Everytime she would be in a good mood and laughing, we would put her Christmas card outfit on and by the time we got everything on her, she was crying. Of course I would cry to if I had to put a skirt, Baby Legs, a shirt, fur cuffs and a Santa hat on! :) Here are just a few pics from our sessions!

Raylin playing in her Birthday present!

Brigg and I got Raylin a submarine ball pit for her birthday. She loves to play in the balls. I put all of her dolls and stuffed animals in there and she has a blast. We bought this thinking that it would fit in our bathtub and she could play in it while I got ready. Well it was a little bit bigger than I thought so now it is in the middle of the living room. We definitely need a playroom for all of her toys!

Birmingham Visit!

Friday, we went to Birmingham for our friend Jennifer's wedding. We spent the night with Keri and then Saturday morning went to breakfast with Keri, Stephen, Shawn and Wendi. After breakfast, I wasn't feeling well so we went back to Keri's and all slept. I didn't feel well enough to go to the wedding so we drove home Saturday night.
CONGRATULATIONS JENN and ERIC! So sorry we couldn't make it.
Stephen, it was wonderful to meet you and hopefully we can actually visit with you a little longer next time we come visit.
Thanks Keri for letting us stay at your house!
Here are a few pics from our breakfast!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Elle Elise, happy birthday to you!
Elle Elise turned 3 yesterday and we celebrated with a Cinderella party. She had a surprise visit from Cinderella. Cinderella danced and made bracelets with the kids. Everyone had so much fun!

This is the pettiskirt that Raylin, Gunnar, Ben, Seger, Duke and Creed gave Elle. She loved it and had to put it on immediately.

One Year Checkup and Pictures with Santa Again!!!

Thursday, Raylin had her one year checkup. Dr. Joe said she looked perfect! Then he asked if I had any concerns and of course I did. I expressed my concern that she is only babbling vowels, no consonant sounds yet. He kind of laughed and asked me if I was wanting her to be bilingual at one. I said, "No, I just want her to say Mama!" :) He told me to quit worrying and said I would be telling her to sit down and hush in a few months and said "SHE IS PERFECT, CHRISTIE"! She is not quite to the 20 pound mark yet. I even followed Andrea's advice and left her in a WET, WET diaper so that she would weigh more. Then I told on myself. Dr. Joe just laughed and asked Brigg where did he find me. Sweet, I know! Well Raylin weighs 19 pounds, 7 ounces and is in the 25th percentile for her weight and is 30 inches tall and in the 75th percentile for her height. Just a little change from her 9 month checkup when she was in the 50th percentile for weight and over the 90th percentile for height. She is now crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. She is starting to cruise, mostly just around her leapfrog table, but a little bit on the coffee table. Every day she does something new and we are having so much fun! Bathtime is her favorite time. She laughs nonstop while she is in the bathtub. She is babbling VOWELS all the time so there is hardly ever a quiet moment in our house unless Raylin is sleeping. We are loving every minute of it. I am so thankful for my precious daughter and wonderful husband. This has been an amazing year.

At the doctor's office before her FOUR shots

With Santa at Winner's Circle Park Thursday night (Notice Santa is holding her hand - That is because she kept pulling on and trying to eat his REAL beard!)

With a white bear at Winner's Circle - She loved this bear more than Santa. She was cracking up while he was holding her!

At home after pictures with Santa - Notice her two bandaids. She also had one on her leg. She got four shots at her checkup, but she was a trooper the rest of the day and the entire night.

Raylin's Birthday

Raylin had a busy day for her birthday. She started the day with balloons in her room and her mommy singing Happy Birthday. What a way to start the day! Then we went to Daddy's office. We all went to Shoney's for lunch. I can just hear Raylin asking me one day when she is older "Mama, WHY WOULD YA'LL TAKE ME TO SHONEY'S FOR MY FIRST BIRTHDAY? COULDN'T YOU THINK OF SOMEWHERE A LITTLE BIT NICER?" But I really wanted her to have a hot fudge cake because I loved those when I was little. And she loved it too! Then we came home for a nap. When Brigg got home from work, we went to Build a Bear to build a Rudolph thats nose lights up. We did this because Hank had one and she loved it. She had so much fun at Build a Bear. We built a Rudolph that sings Happy Birthday and has a beating heart. Brigg wouldn't let us dress him like a girl! :) After the lady stuffed Chewy (that is what we named him), she would not let go of him. Then we went to the book store and bought two books for her. Thank you to Aunt Linda and Uncle Harry for the gift certificate!!! We ate dinner at O'Charley's because Raylin loves the rolls and potato soup. I think she had a great birthday! We sure had lots of fun!
